Nearly very summer over the past 8 or 9 years, community clean-ups across Openshaw have been carried out with workers and volunteers, - including local young people - from Eden Openshaw (see picture below).

2009 Clean-Up
 

The 2009 clean-up is one of 50 which took place this week as part of the Audacious 09 Christian youth festival. One of the volunteers was Steph North, Urban Hero.


The site chosen was the ‘Yellow Brick Road’ area of Openshaw, the site of several serious assaults in recent years.
