About The Salvation Army Eden Project (Openshaw)
The Salvation Army Eden Project (Openshaw), which began with a partnership between The Salvation Army and The Message Trust, was launched in August 2000, when a group of volunteers moved into the Toxteth Street Estate and began getting to know the area and people living in it. We quickly found a need to work with young people, and over time developed our work to include many of their younger siblings and parents. Today, we have 4 main regular activities (Toddler group, Baby Chuch activity, Youth Club and Kids Club), plus small-group work, mentoring, schools work and lots more.
Our staff team is involved in a variety of work alongside families, teenagers, adults, and the church has recently expanded its work with vulnerable adults. All the above is supported by a host of hard-working, committed volunteers, and loyal people who support us either in prayer, or financially or both: a massive thanks to you all.
