About EDEN Openshaw
The Openshaw Eden Project, which involved a partnership between The Message Trust and The Salvation Army, was launched in August 2000, when a group of volunteers moved into the Toxteth Street Estate and began getting to know the area and people living in it. We quickly found a need to work with young people, and over time developed our work to include many of their younger siblings and parents. Today, we have three lots of regular activities (Toddler group, Baby Chuch activity, Youth Club, Kids Club), plus small-group work, mentoring and lots more.
Our EDEN staff team is involved in a variety of work alongside families, teenagers, adults, and the church has recently expanded its work with the homeless and alcoholics. All the above is supported by a host of hard-working, committed volunteers, and loyal people who support us either in prayer, or financially or both: a massive thanks to you all.
